Rogan Smith is the co-host of the Ed Fields Live show, which airs twice a week on Kiss 96.1FM. She is also the marketing coordinator for Sunshine Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Ltd., which organizes and sponsors the hugely popular, Sunshine Insurance Race Weekend (Marathon Bahamas and Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure).

She is the former co-host of Bahamas at Sunrise, a top-rated morning TV talk show that airs twice a week on the ZNS TV network.

Smith is a former associate editor at The Bahama Journal/Love 97FM/JCN TV 14 as well as a daily news anchor.  While at JCN, Smith anchored the 6:30 p.m. news and took viewers through the day’s big stories.

A seasoned journalist, Smith has covered numerous breaking news and world news events.

In addition to breaking news and covering national disasters, Smith has covered many high-profile trials, parliament and interviewed a number of international political figures and stars, including former US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, R&B singer, R. Kelly and TV hosts and Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

Smith cut her journalistic teeth at The Tribune Newspaper, working under its then managing editor, John Marquis. Bitten by the radio bug, Smith moved on to Love 97FM, The Bahamas’ leading private radio station, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor.

She then transitioned to The Nassau Guardian, working as a senior reporter and news anchor for the newspaper’s new radio station, Star 106.5FM. She later returned to Love 97FM to help lead the station’s talented news team and work as a TV anchor for its sister station, JCN TV 14.

Smith has hosted her own radio talk show, On Point as well as a weekly segment, The Rogue Report, an offbeat, quirky five-minute segment focused on feature stories.

Adept at covering major news, Smith has covered several general elections and political conventions.

She has also worked as a stringer for the award-winning Associated Press (AP).

Smith is based in Nassau, Bahamas.
